Shihan-Sho Dawn began her journey in Karate in 1975

Shihan-Sho was the first woman to receive her Blackbelt in the Kandan Karate School

Received her Blackbelt in 3 1/2 years in early 1979

23 1/2 years later Shihan-Sho received her 6th degree Blackbelt on March 15, 2003

She was the only woman to hold the title of Shihan in the Kandan School
